DALL-E 3 (via ChatGPT)

#38

ChatGPT's artistic arm. Crazy thing is it *understands* your long sentences and even knows how to write words inside images. Less 'beautiful' than Midjourney, but more obedient.

Is it easy to use?

It’s inside ChatGPT. No interface to learn. A 9.0 out of 10.

How long to learn?

Instant. Type what you want in chat you already use. Mastered in few hours.

How efficient is it?

Very efficient. Don’t have to switch tools. Ask for text, then ask for image. An 8.5 out of 10.

Is it worth it?

It’s ‘free’ only if you pay ChatGPT Plus (from $20/mo). Can’t have it alone. (Value: 7.0/10).

Can I use it Commercially?

Yes. Green light, you can make money with it. But if you get sued, don’t blame me. (Always check ToS).

In a Nutshell (Verdict)

The image AI for those who don’t want to learn. Less ‘beautiful’ than Midjourney, but more ‘obedient’. Score: 7.9/10.

Who is it for?

To ChatGPT Plus users. It is the ‘all-inclusive’ option: you don’t have to learn another tool, it’s already there. Less ‘artistic’ than Midjourney, but infinitely more ‘obedient’. Its users:

  • Bloggers and Marketers: To instantly create an image for the article they just had written. They ask for text, and 30 seconds later ask for the image.
  • Anyone needing text: It’s its superpower. If you need a meme or an image with writing on it, it’s the only one that (often) gets it right.
  • ‘Normal’ People: Who don’t want to learn weird commands (/imagine, –ar 16:9) of Midjourney. They just want to write ‘a pirate cat’ and get it.
  • ‘Story’ Creators: Perfect for quickly generating a series of consistent images for a storyboard.

Already on ChatGPT, what does it cost to ask for an image for your post? Lazy.
